In the previous section, we introduced the deployment of a complex docker process. A command option - e is involved. The purpose of this command is to pass environment variables. Next I'll show you how it works.
First, create a container and set the environment variable VINCENT=vincent@qq.com

Then we enter the container:

To view environment variables:

Then you can see our environment variable VINCENT=vincent@qq.com
Therefore, we can set environment variables for containers to be created in advance in this way. This is very useful for containers. If there are some programs in our container that need to read the configuration of environment variables, if the configuration can be changed, you can make flexible configuration by modifying the environment variables. This is a way to pass program configuration.
